Weekly Homework Books to Share Each night, students are required to read a levelled colour book and record thier reading in the Books to Share Reading Log. Song and Poem Every week we read, share and practice a poem of the week. Students are required to read the poem to a family member over the weekend and record the poem in the Song and Poem Log. Home Journal Every Friday, students write a note home to their families in their Home Journal. Students are required to share the Home Journal over the weekend. It is requested that parents write a short note back to their child. This journal encourages children to share their learning with their families. |
Other Exciting Homework The students in our class created some BEAUTIFUL family turkeys. I am very pleased with the creativity and effort that students put forth. Each turkey is unique and special. Thank you to our grade 1/2 families for supporting this project. Book Talk Presentations Stay tuned for our book talk assignment. It will be coming home in the communication folder October 8th.
